Major Softball builds on the skills learned in Minor Softball. Typically, there are 2 interleague games per week with one on Saturday morning. There are 1 to 2 practices per week with a league wide skills development practice held on Sunday afternoon. We try to raise the level of the game and competition through skill development and teaching game strategies, such as bunting, stealing, signals, etc. As with all bat, ball, & glove games, there is much emphasis on pitching and catching skills. We play with a continuous line-up, so that all players are in the batting order at all times. After the regular season games which will include inter-league play against neighboring towns, the league selects players and coaches for the District# 6 (Greater Portland) all-star tourney which leads to the Little League World Series.
